Can invoices be issued?

• Yes! Both special VAT invoices and general invoices are supported. Invoices can be issued for both the Personal Edition and the Enterprise Edition. Invoice issuance takes 1–2 business days, and electronic invoices are sent via email.

Does it support corporate bank transfers?

• Yes! Follow the DBAPI official account and reply with the keyword “transfer” to obtain the bank account details for receiving payments.

Does the Enterprise Edition support version upgrades?

• Both the Enterprise Edition and the Personal Edition (with a paid license) support free version upgrades!

What kind of after-sales service is provided for the Enterprise Edition?

• The Enterprise Edition includes free technical support, covering installation, technical consultation and troubleshooting, usage guidance, and version upgrades. After purchase, a dedicated staff member will contact you to add you on WeChat for communication.

How do I make a purchase?

• Go to the Purchase Page, fill in your serial number, email address, edition, company information, and the number of years you wish to purchase. Click the "Buy Now" button to display a payment QR code; scan it with WeChat to complete the payment. The system will then send the license to your email.

What should I enter for the serial number?

• First, install the software. After launching it, the system will automatically exit. Then, check the bottom of the logs/dbapi-standalone.log file in the installation directory—your serial number will be listed there. Enter this serial number; refer to the Installation documentation for details. If you prefer to purchase first and install later, you can initially enter any placeholder characters during checkout. Once you’re ready to install, contact customer service to provide your actual serial number, and we’ll activate and send you the genuine license.

How can I obtain a perpetual license?

• The maximum purchase term allowed by the system is 3 years. If you purchase a 3-year license, the license sent to you will be valid indefinitely. If you buy a 1-year license, the license will be valid for one year. Similarly, a 2-year license will be valid for two years.

What is the difference between the Enterprise Edition and the Personal Edition?

• The Personal Edition offers a free license for use, while the Enterprise Edition does not include a free license. The Personal Edition has certain limits, such as restrictions on the number of APIs, groups, data sources, and so on. In contrast, the Enterprise Edition has no such limitations. Additionally, the Enterprise Edition provides enhanced features; please refer to here for more details.

What happens if the server hardware fails? How does the purchased license fare?

• DBAPI licenses are tied to specific hardware. If the server hardware fails, you can migrate the license to another machine and contact customer service to obtain a new license.

How do I upgrade?

• Please refer to the Upgrade Documentation.

Will DBAPI continue to receive updates?

• Yes, DBAPI will continue to be updated. Please check the Version Update Log.

How is the Cluster Edition priced for multiple nodes? Does each node require its own license?

• Each node in a Cluster Edition deployment requires a separate license. The Enterprise Edition pricing is 1,999 yuan per year. For the Cluster Edition, starting from the second node, each additional node costs 599 yuan per year. If you plan to purchase m nodes for n years, the total price is calculated as: 1,999 + 599*(m-1)*n yuan (where n ≤ 3). For example, if you purchase an Enterprise Edition cluster of 3 nodes for 3 years (with a free perpetual license included), the total cost would be (1,999 + 599*2)*3 = 9,591 yuan.
